GOOD STEWARDSHIP of REVENUES:
The Hallmark of Good Government

The VanGundy Group is proud to be affiliated with Expense Management Resources (EMR). EMR's two principals have over 80 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable and expense management. After having saved millions of dollars in the private sector, for businesses across the U.S., EMR has now adapted its methods for the government sector.

Given the fact that, for most government entities, tax revenues are down due to the slowed economy, there is no time like the present to review the many expenses incurred in running your city, county or state department. Best of all, the initial consultation as well as the in depth review of your expenses are done without any cost to you. EMR is compensated only if you realize real savings using their recommendations and that compensation is only small part of your total savings.

What EMR Does

EMR improves client profitability by achieving cost savings and increased value on business expenses, without any reduction in the quality of the product or service.

We work with your people. They take the time to understand your organization, how it functions and how you have worked in the past.

We explore one, many, or all of the following everyday expense categories identifying opportunities to save you money on purchased goods or services:

Office Equipment Office Supplies Overnight and Express Mail
Business Insurance Cleaning Supplies Equipment Maintenance Service Contracts
Waste Removal Packaging Materials Local and Long Distance Telephone Service
Copy Paper Printing and Forms Couriers & Shipping/Freight
Computer Supplies Restroom Supplies Bank Fees

EMR's professionals conduct an extensive review of your records to determine how your organization typically purchases items and what you purchase. We look for patterns, habits, specifications and other more subtle indicators.

Then, we work with sources and vendors to get you what you want at the best price. Best is not always cheap. Best is fair market value for goods and services received. Best is a vendor who puts you first. We then come back to you with specific recommendations for saving money—without changing the quality of the product or service. Most of the time you continue working with your current vendor with new pricing.

You decide what, if any, recommendations are to be implemented.

Finally, we follow up with your employees in a professional and cooperative manner to insure recommendations are implemented as planned.

What We Don't Do

We do not suggest you cut staff or salaries. We want to be your agent for positive and creative expense management not your agent for disruption or discontent.

We do not sell products or services. We are only there to save you money. If we don’t accomplish that, we don’t get paid.

We do not share information about your organization, your policies, or your products. Our relationship is one of strict confidentiality.

Best of all, we do not charge you any fees for our services unless you agree with our findings.
